Master Sargent Scott Azbell retired from active duty in the USAF in 2014. 23+ years of service, MSgt Azbell served under 4 presidents and 5 major commands. His entire enlistment was served during time of war or conflict, with multiple deployments to Southwest Asia and Korea. 



MSgt. Azbell primary served as an aircraft mechanic on the F-16 Fighting Falcon at Hill AFB, Utah. During this time, he performed periodic inspections as well as flight operations. MSgt. Azbell performed duties as training instructor for new F-16/F-117 mechanics at Sheppard AFB, Texas. He later finished his career at ACC/A4 headquarters at Langley AFB, Virginia as lead Technical Order Distribution Office manager. There, he authored doctrine and technical order guidance for ACC, PACAF, USAFE, and numerous deployed commands.




MSgt Azbell currently resides in Fort Payne, Alabama with his wife Elizabeth. He is a Legacy Bronze lifetime member with VFW Post 3128. Scott was honored by US Senator Tommy Tuberville as September 2023 veteran of the month.
