Dennis Russell joined the Alabama Army National Guard "HHC 151st Engineer

Company here in Fort Payne Alabama on 12/15/1980 and went full time with them in 1985 at OMS#5 as a heavy equipment mechanic. In 1986 | became the Motor SGT. for Company A 151st in Bridgeport Alabama. transferred to Mobile Alabama in 1994 to OMS#28 and was the Motor SGT for the 638th Ordance Company until they were reorganized to the 1165th Combat MP Company in Fairhope Alabama in 1996 and in 2006 then transferred  to the 690th Chemical Company until He was ask to join the Joint Forces Headquarters in Montgomery Alabama in late 2007 and transferred  his full time job back to what is Known as FMS#8 in Gadsden Alabama until he retired the last day of January 2017.  Dennis Russell has put in over 36 years and went to a few places from Ecuador 1985, Panama 1987, Deployed to Iraq in the 1165th MP CO. from 2003-2005. The 1165th. earned 3 campaign stars while being extended 3 times during the deployment. He received The Presidential Unit Citation and The Valorous Unit Award . The time that he served has taught him that our Brothers and Sisters that served and gave their lives should be remembered every time that you look at the Stars and Stripes flying high because they gave ALL.
